I received my current issue of Country Living and I was sooo inspired by their pumpkin and gourd projects. Here's a peek at what's in the magazine this month....

... I have decided to host a "Pretty up your pumpkin party!" on Wednesday, October 8th! I am going to set up Mr. Linky and have everyone link up their best pumpkin decorating ideas and prettiest pumpkin and gourd decorating projects. They can be crafty, artistic or even just fun... So put on your tall, pointy, black thinking cap on and start getting creative with your pumpkin's.... Even if you want to link up with some neat Halloween decorations, that's cool too. If you haven't picked up this issue, I have to say I was impressed with everything in there. So mark you calenders and Pretty up your Pumpkins!
That sounds pumpkin-tastic! I love pumpkins and gourds! Last year I painted a bunch (real and fake) of them with faux gold leaf. Now i'll have to start thinking about something fun to do for the pumpkin party!
ReplyDeleteYes, I just bought that issue yesterday. Very cool what they did with pumpkins and gave me lots of ideas although the gold leafing won't work for me.

I can't wait for the P.U.R.P, party. I guess I was on the right track with my thinking this year because I bought white pumpkins to put copper leaf on awhile ago. When I saw country living I was excited to see la of those gorgeous pumpkins!
ReplyDeleteLove the gold on the pumpkins. They are much prettier then the regular orange pumpkins. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou can count Lindsey and me in! Sounds like too much fun to pass up. We bought that magazine and every page is beautiful. I thought I might need another because there's so many pretty pages! Twyla
