I was given a great award by Vintage girl at Heart. If you get a chance, stop over an say hi. I am honored to receive this award! I am supposed to pass it on to 7 people who's blog's I love to visit every day. This is a tough decision...but I picked....
and
Congrats ladies, please pass it on to seven more!
I recently rehabbed this side table. It was a yard sale find for $13. It originally had a glass top that had long since been broken. There was a hole on top in the front where you could push the glass to up from underneath originally so it had to be patched. The trick to that is to put painter's tape tightly underneath the hole and fill in on top, layering as each layer dries. That technique works for filling in those old knob holes too so it doesn't squish out the back...
Since the top was damaged and the repair would possibly show even if it was painted, I used a fabric decoupaging method.
This piece was the complement to the other piece in the tutorial (which I finished very differently.).
After moving the knobs, drilling a new hole, and some Rustoleum Universal Spray (awesome stuff) an it had a whole new personality.
I liked the idea of the butterfly knob instead of something plain.
I even was inspired to finish out the inside.
Oh and for the winner of my drawing! It was number 45! Donna!
Donna, please send me an e-mail; I couldn't access your profile! This is the comment you left..
