A year in review: favorite furniture make overs and projects

Cindy from My Romantic Home is hosting a year in review and so is Rhoda at Southern Hospitality. I thought I would post some of my favorite projects and make-overs. I added a few extra pics for Rhoda's party.
Love this curb side find!
And I am so glad

I painted my coffee table red. Some day I would love  a grown-up fancy rectangular table, but right now with little heads running around, oval it shall be. Plus, it's so sturdy, it makes  a great stage!

 Loved this pumpkin planter...

and how about  the magic of paint, a shelf and some permanent adhesive squares?

I loved my new faux paneling my ugly un-paneled bathroom door with molding,

and having my Gram's couch reupholstered. My Dad grew up on that couch!

A little garbage picking here and there..

some hand painted tea towels

and chair make-overs.

I painted an old mirror new for my downstairs bath, now the kids can actually see where to wipe the chocolate off of their faces.

I loved re-painting this table! I loved this table! I was so sorry when it was gone!

And repainting and recovering this bench. I would say it was a good year. I know next year is going to be  even better. I'm excited to have even more furniture make overs and craft projects to share!
Also, pop on over to the Blissfully Domestic Style  page to enter to win one of my Queen Bee Tee's and a bunch of other yummy prizes! You have until Saturday, January 10th!
Happy New Year!
Jen

  15. ok, how lovely is all of that. My favorite might be the bathroom, losing those ceramic things to get that beautiful shelf was so worth it. Second would be the bathroom door. It is amazing what a bit of trim will do!

  44. I love all your transformations, especially the molding on the door. Such a small detail makes a big difference!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Oh the door is my favorite of yours! I can't believe the difference a little bit of molding changed it.

  47. Great projects! Your bathroom (with the tile, soap and toothpaste holder) has inspired me to do something similar this year in our bathroom!

    ReplyDelete
  48. You've been busy, girl! Wow! I love all the projects...but the one that you would think has the least impact has the most to me...the door. JUst a common door, but a new door, fresh coat of paint...and it s a room that'd I'd be interested in seeing what is behind it.
Oh, that looks great! Hey! I am here from the 2008 Before and After! Stop by my place if you can.

  52. You have had some wonderful projects, but my favorite is that sweet table. Great job!

    ReplyDelete
  53. hmmm...I just picked up a very similar scrolled mirror (I believe it is resin) at a flea market for $5 - It is in perfect condition, but not sure I like the gold. I just can't decide if I should paint it white or some funky bright color...black looks good too, but no sure it would go with my other stuff.

  54. Oh.My.Goodness! The red coffee table is fabulous!!! Do you happen to have a tutorial on how you created it?? Thanks! Your biggest fan! :)
