I don't know about you, but even after I make over something in my house, I still feel the need to tweak. It's kind of a never ending project.
After I re-did my dining room/ living area, I liked it, but I felt like it needed more.
So I switched this chair out from the living room.. then of course, you know how one project leads to another... being next to the china cabinet, the wood colors kind of swallowed up each other...
So red it was! I covered it with a grain sac I had bought from this flea market trip
and sewed a little burlap-y pillow... Now I am wondering if I should paint the china cabinet a creamy, beigey kind of color and distress it.. what do you think? Should I?

I also have some new items in my Etsy store...

Yep, def. every room needs a red chair. It's just beautiful. Love the burlap pillow too.
ReplyDeleteOh yes Ma'am every room does need red~ and that Red chair is perfect! Great job!
ReplyDeleteHave you seen those burlap pillows at ballards...very pricey! You did a great job on that pillow and saved lots of money!
Blessings, Nancy
You are right the red chair was the answer, although I do love the leopard print chair in the right spot (my living room, haha). As for the buffet I think it should be painted creamy and distress it. I think it will really lighten up that corner. (Not that I am a professional just a wanna-a-be). Plus you do such beautiful work it will look great! Can't wait to see the finished product if you do paint it!
ReplyDeleteThe red chair looks great. The red color really brings out the great detail in it. Good job!! What did you do with your other chair?
ReplyDeleteHugs & Blessings,
~Katherine~
Splash of red always looks good. The pillow is very sweet! gosh i don't know about the cabinet, painting it sounds pretty and it's pretty now too... don't think you could go wrong either way.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you decide.
