How much I love these lamp shades that she has.. And I know she has them too... but they only came in one size (Large) and one price (a lot).
I did already have this lamp shade...

And at Michael's found this adorable Anna Griffin (Love her!) scrapbook paper...
So with a little (a lot) of Mod Podge and some creative cutting and 4 sheets of scrapbook paper;
I now happily have this fabulous lamp shade on a vintage lamp base.
( I do have to add that I have a CFL bulb in there; I don't know if a regular bulb would get too hot for the paper.)
To see more stop over for the Nester's Lampalooza party!

LOVE it! The transformation is amazing, and the light shining through that pattern is fab!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Jen!! How did you get the paper so perfect?
ReplyDeleteThat is gorgeous. I re-did some chandelier shades with scrapbook paper and then added mod podge, but once I added the mod podge the paper color changed and I am going to need to re-do them. :(
ReplyDeleteYours gives me hope.
:)
What an awesome idea! I never thought of using scrapbook paper for lamp shades...I'm just torn about using CF bulbs because of the hassle to clean them if they break...the light never looks quite right to me either. I think I might give this a go with a low wattage bulb and see what happens!
ReplyDeleteThe paper shade is the perfect touch. Love mod podge.
ReplyDeleteKahleen
