Suburban farmers....

Let's do a little gardening...The last frost date is finally over..
I think Spring is here in Chicago just in time for Summer! Can you see the Asparagus is taller than my poor, tiny Nectarine tree?

All of the little gardener's are planting their seedlings they started in styrofoam cups in school.
Pat the beans in gently, even though we are sending them unknowingly to their  demise (The beans, not the gardeners...We have a lot of rabbits.)...
The Lavender is finally greening up...
And I think we'll have a bumper crop of raspberries this year.. anyone want some?
I may end up growing more Maple trees than Tomatoes this year.
A few onions to round off the batch...
And the Clematis are finally heading toward the trellis...

Ahh, let's take a rest after all of that hard work and watch the bunnies try to hop chicken wire.....

  1. OMG, I laughed at the pic of your daughter yeilding the shovel. I can so see mine doing that to an unknowing sibling.

I guess that means I got to do the weeding now.

  8. What cute gardeners you have! Having a garden is so much fun. Here in Texas, mine is almost full grown. Still waiting on the Tomatoes to turn read though.
