The interior re-designer I talked about in another post said that vignettes should tell a story even if it's private. She came to my house with one of her classes for their class project. They did the 3rd and 5th picture...Can you guess these themes or stories?

I used to just throw things together, but now it kind of helps direct me in accessorizing. I also look at vignettes in stores differently too and I look to see if there is a hidden story.

Such a simple but clever concept. I like all the vignettes you've created!

Your title made me chuckle...hilarious. Love the vignettes and SO jealous that you guys got to go to the CL event! Enjoyed reading about the trip! Have a great Thursday!
ReplyDeleteHi Jen! Oh! That's helpful! I used to do that too, always just throwing things together. I love the "birdie" one. Lovely bard cages pictures, it all look so beautiful! Adorable! Have a great day! Hugs, Vanessa
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I knew that, although I think intuitively I might kind of do that...I'll have to go study the vignettes in my home and see if they are cohesive!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!

I love all of the vignettes! I need more flat surfaces in my house. I want to make some more vignettes now!

Hi Jen, I never thought about it really, but in a way I think that's how I do it. Love your vignettes and the stories behind them!
ReplyDeleteI'm never very good at coming up with vignettes on my own, but I love finding a look in a magazine (or favored blog) and adapting it with my own available accessories as my own.
ReplyDeleteLove all of these, the last one is my favorite, however I like the chair too! See you soon!
ReplyDeleteVery cool post Jen. I love the idea of a story behind a vignette. I wonder what people would say about mine. That would make a great meme - you should think about starting one.

Jen,
ReplyDeleteWhat color did you use on that little blue table? I know you mentioned it before, but can't remember.
Happy Painting!

P.S. Thanks for stopping by!
Lovely vignettes...oh, and clever title, too! ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Jen, Hope you are enjoying your time at The Farm Chicks.
ReplyDeleteLove all the vignettes and what good use of a chair as a table.
