Welcome! Link up and show us your make-overs! The only rules are you have to link back to this specific post so people can find it easily (if you are using an old post, please amend it), and put in your specific link to your make-over post, not your blog.
My make-over this month is of an old picture I had laying around. Tres chic in the '90s. Non?
I painted the frame black and used double stick tape to put the book pages inside the matting that was already there.
I just then used more double stick tape to put the bird picture on top! Easy-peasy!

YAY, I'm the first one! Ok, that was kinda lame, but I'm totally new to this blogging thing and I'm just figuring some of this out. But, after I hit enter, I realized that I linked to my blog, not just my makeover post. Now I don't know how to delete it and do it again, aaahhhh.
ReplyDeleteBut I love your blog. You have the best ideas! I've been a stalker, so to speak, for several weeks now. I just love how you can turn anything into something totally different. I used to just sell or trash things I didn't want anymore. Now I try to see if I can re-purpose it!
Thanks for the ideas!
Ok so I just re-posted the corrected link to just the makeover. Delete the first one!
ReplyDeleteI remade some plates that used to hang in my kitchen at my old house. Now that we've moved I didn't like them so instead of trashing them or sending them off to Goodwill, I made them over. Take a look!
ReplyDeleteHi Jen. Happy to be participating again! Great transformation, fantastic new look!
ReplyDeleteWow, love your print transformation!
ReplyDeleteI had that original photo above my bed when I was first married! How funny!
ReplyDeleteLove it!! Much, much better!!
ReplyDeleteYou always have such great ideas!
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing. I have at least one picture like that (pre-raphaelite type artwork) in storage that is screaming for a makeover. Thanks for the great idea and the fab how-to!

Love the artwork makeover. I really like the book pages as the background.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited that I am finally able to participate! We're not out of town or crazy busy, so I was able to put together a post to link up!
This is a great make-over!! As always your stuff is beautiful!! You are always so inspirational
ReplyDeleteMore great ideas for old book pages. I'm getting all kinds of inspiration here. love the bird art.
ReplyDeleteLove your parties!
Very nice makeover! While I love John William Waterhouse's paintings, your new bird picture is much prettier. The frame looks perfect in black.

I just bought a couple of prints that would look GREAT with this treatment. I LOVE IT!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous transformation of a picture frame. I have linked to a candlestick makeover - am just getting into this makeover lark - very addictive :)
ReplyDeleteWhew, had serious issues with Mr. Linky. So sorry! LOL
ReplyDeleteNice job! I looooove black paint!
ReplyDeleteI did a couple similar things this weekend...but used vintage art and an old postcard. I missed getting a photo of the art (it's already in my antique booth) but I still have the framed postcard. I'll see if I can get a quick pic! Your makeup turned out "just right." Love the paper idea in the back.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to have missed it again. These are fun. I'm off to go and see what everyone has done.
