Window pain...

Sometimes a nice walk to Walgreen's can turn into a (hot) treasure hunt.
I had been looking for an old window to hang in my back garden. I wasn't about to pay for one, so I've been keeping my eyes open.
Of course I find one of two on the beginning of the 3/4 mile walk back to my house and it was only 92 degrees out. I would've taken the other one, but my Walgreen's bag was slowing me down.

(Just for you, A re-enactment)

But it was worth it with just a couple of stray eye hooks later (that we keep in what we refer to as the jar of tetanus.).
And it hangs in it's new home.
For free.

Stop by Kimba's for more DIY thursday. :)

  4. Augh!!! I passed up a big stack of old windows at an estate sale Saturday--and I could have done THIS with one or two of 'em! *banging head on desk*

It looks terrific! Thanks for commenting on my blog...if it takes six weeks to feel like my old self post-surgery, then I'm more than halfway there. That's encouraging!

I also loved the story about finding a chair that you had painted and fixed up at someone's house. What a fun thing to happen.

  26. HA ! Love the re-enactment! I always look on Craigslist in the free section. It's amazing what people will give away. One gal was giving away 15 old crusty peely windows. I made the drive to get them last night. Beautiful! I'll post them on my blog soon. You would have died and gone to heaven!
