Every year I go on our local holiday housewalk. I am headed there today with a friend and a Starbuck's gingerbread latte!
These are some pics from last years walk I thought I'd share, there were some cute decorating ideas. Pictures are a little "frowned " upon, but occasionally you'd meet a nice lady monitoring a room who'd say "go ahead, real quick!"... some are covertly from my camera phone too...Shhh, don't tell anyone.

Dont' ask about this one.. It's a mannequin! It was supposed to have something to do with an airplane and delivering Santa's present's and really, it was just plain creeeeeeepy.
I'll try to get some "illegal" pics for you from the tour today.
If I call you from jail.. you'll know why, but you are my peeps; I'd do that for you.

Oh I love home tours. We have one coming up on the 13th in historic Snohomish WA. that I usually do each year. It is great but I know what you mean about photos, I always want to show everyone.

I've never been on a home tour, but someday I would love to. What fun!

You're so funny! I hope you have someone to call to bail you out! HAHA! Enjoy the tour!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I want to go on a holiday housewalk. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I love home tours.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I would LOVE to find a hometour around here.... I KNOW we have to have some....LOVE that rubber "Santa" boot!
ReplyDeleteJust playing blog catch-ups and had to tell you that I ADORE your rosette wreath...what a great idea!
ReplyDeleteHi Jen,
ReplyDeleteI bet you had a great time,I would have loved to go. I could have kept a look out while you snapped some pictures! The homes in that area are so beautiful aren't they. Hope that you were able to get a few shots of the homes to share with us. Take care.

Very pretty home tour except the "creepy guy". I love to do tours at Christmas, great inspiration!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry Jen, I'll take up a collection and we'll bail you out! Great pics, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOh, I just love a house walk! Is it for the decor, or the fact I get to snoop around and see how someone else lives...I am not sure on that one! ;o) But that freakin' mannequin would have sent me out the door. What the heck? I could not sleep in that house with that in the next room! Someone in my neighboorhood puts one in their front window every Xmas. So weird. Hope we can meet up for that coffee soon! ~mary~
ReplyDeleteMy tiny rental cottage is on a Christmas home tour this year, and I've never done it before. My house is going to be the saddest one... My mom is the organizer and decided that she wanted to show that you could decorate a rental on a single-mom budget. I hope I'm not too embarrassed!
