Step two...

Lookee, Lookee what I found at Homegoods!!!!

They are bookends, but I am hoping to use them in my kitchen cabinet redo. I had to go to 2 stores to get what I needed and I think I am going to have to go to a third this week...

How cool are they???

As for my cabinet color.. I am still not dishing..  :)

Hi Jen
Thanks for your caring comment and I know that whatever the Lord has for me, there lies my peace and joy.
I was looking at your post on the garden, and I hate those Japanese beetles too, they eat my roses. But don't get those pheromone bags. I did a few years ago and they attract every beetle in your neighborhood! The trouble is they don't all make it to the bag. I killed tons but tons remained on my roses.
Thanks again and I will be fine once this is over... it came at such a bad time as I am trying to get ready for the Creative Connection
Blessings
Rebecca

Ooops! I almost forgot to tell you about the fantabulous totally green way to get rid of those japanese beetles! My 180 year old lady that visits sometimes told me to go to the grocery store and buy some garlic bulbs. Plant a clove from the bulb at the base of each plant that the beetles are feasting on. They don't like the smell of the garlic, which you can't smell. Also, if you love garlic like me, you have your own garlic! It will grow a tall spikey thing. Also helps to repel mosquitoes!

Jen, you are really good at keeping us in suspense.....I am betting these "bookends" will be used on your island? Like everyone else, can't wait to see your kitchen all finished. Take care.

I have heard so many people rave about Home Goods. Don't think they have them in Minneapolis yet but can't wait for one to come in.

Great find! The other week I was driving past an old house that had been through a fire. The owner was removing the architectural details and throwing them out (which was horrifying!). Although most were damaged from the fire beyond repair, I did manage to find 3 sets for myself. They'll make gorgeous shelf brackets and corner details in my walk ways.
