I sat outside early this morning; it started as a gorgeous indian summer day and I reflected on the whole weekend and the success of the Nada sale. I can feel a big sigh of relief that everything went so well .
I met so many nice people this weekend; fellow bloggers, residents of the area and people who had traveled from hundreds of miles away to come to our little sale. The barn looked beautiful, and the line that wrapped around the barn before we opened attested that other people were as excited as we were for our event. I have some amazing pictures to share and if you have a post about the sale, please let me know and on Monday I'll do a linky so you can share.
It was an amazing weekend, with happy moments, fun times and a bit of sad news.
One of our blogger friends, Annie Grosvenor of Drawing a blank passed away this weekend after a battle with cancer. I had met her a few times and just remember the joyous attitude she had toward life. She truly had a light of her own and will be remembered as someone with a wonderful spirit.
Life and all that comes with it is truly a blessing.
Thank you all who came out to our event and I hope to see you at the next one. The date is already scheduled for May 20th and 21st.

Hi Jen,
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that the
Nada Sale was a huge success but than I knew it would be! All of you, Anne Marie, Angela and you are so incredibly talented.
My heart is heavy at the passing of Annie. Having only met her one time it was enough for me to sense and know that she was a special woman. I still remember her saying "godsmacked" at the Bloggers Luncheon and we all loved the phrase and agreed with her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family anf friends of which I am sure she had many..........
Take care,
Pat

ReplyDeleteJen, It was a glorious weekend! I'm glad that I got to be part of it. Though I know it was bittersweet for you and Anne Marie and Ang, in that someone so beloved was missing it. I wish I had known her!
