With a nudge and some awesome support of my good friends Jeanne, Tracey and Anne Marie, I've decided to re-open my Etsy Store November 8th with the
Found and Made collection.
It will have my up-cycled clothing, vintage items, and some of my art work such as this lady I've been working on for a while...Mary.
She's my take on a Santos or Flemish Cage doll. She stands just over 15 inches tall and
is completely hand-sculpted and hand-constructed. I'll have a few of her friends as well. These are the kind of thing you either love or are creeped out by. My hubby liked it, one of my girlfriend's joked that the "eyes seem to follow her around the room." I laughed because my Grandma had a picture of the Pope that used to do that.
So the deadline is on to finish up things, take photos and list everything in time for holiday shopping. There's nothing like a gentle prodding from goodfriend's to get your behind in gear. It's a good thing I work best under pressure. ;)
