Jolly inspiration....

It's Black Friday and I am debating about whether or not I want to journey out into the chaos. Did you go shopping? What I really want to do is pull down all of our decorations from our attic and get my Christmas on. I was looking through some inspiration photos and thought I would share some with you.

  1. I haven't been out shopping today and I won't be going. Just don't have the money. :( I love all of these lovely inspiration photos. That's what I've doing today, looking at pretty inspiration pics. I can't wait to get started decorating.

  3. Hi Jen:
I LOVE these images! My idea of Christmas in Florida...not all the heavy red and green of my Wisconsin childhood. I add seashells and starfish, too.

I NEVER, EVER go out on Black Friday. I decided years ago that I would avoid it, and avoid the frenzied holiday shoppers. I make most of our gifts now, and anything else I need I get online. I was out on Tuesday running errands and was face-to-face with my first (and last) rude shopper of the season.

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving, and a that a restful weekend is in your future.
    xoxo

  4. No shopping for me today!!
I did take my daughter a Starbucks because she has been working at the Mall since midnight!!
I love these images...I am thinking real simple this year and maybe using my mercury glass..natural elements and vintage whites.
    Blessings Girly!

  9. We don't have Black Friday here in Canada... but we live near the border and some venture over the river to shop the sales. Personally, I think it's madness, but I think I'd be crazy enough to be tempted to go out one year just for the heck of it.

I love the paper wrappings in one of the photos and all the different branch ideas. I used something similar as a display for a show (with handmade ornaments) a while ago and I got so many compliments about it!

  15. thanks for the photos. I loved the tree design. I am thinking going all natural this year - dry fruit, home made gingerbread cookies and cinnamon sticks. For the first time we will make the cranberry/popcorn chain ;-)
