Thank you all for your comments yesterday. They really meant a lot to me, and I took each one to heart. I think I am just in a big let down after the rush-rush-rushing of CL being here, then the Nada show, then Fifi all at once. Every bit of it was a welcomed blessing, but I also think it kind of leaves me in a space to fill with the"what next" syndrome. After reading all of your comments, I decided to just kind of go with the flow this summer, spend time with the kids, read a lot by the pool, and not pressure myself to produce amazing things on a schedule and see what unfolds.
Speaking of projects...
We've known it's been coming for a while now.. My oldest wants her own room. No longer will the 3 of them be "bunking up" dorm style.
So we are in the middle of working on that. It's one of the last rooms we really have to "do"... but I have a feeling that after her room is done, the other two are going to want their own revamp. I'll have a mini-sneak peek on a piece of it this Thursday for you. These are some of the inspiration photo's I've been looking at from my old files, I am not sure where I got them from.
They are all kind of different as there are elements from each I like. I have to admit she wants purple and pink stripes with Justin Bieber posters. I cannot just give her that freedom yet ; )

Love that first one!!! but then look at what's in it...$30,000 worth of French goodness. I remember those days when I could get my hands on stuff like that but alas no more.
ReplyDeleteHope your feeling better, I am still in full throttle and I know what you are talking about the after effects of being busy and then it comes to a screeching halt. So far I haven't screeched.
Blessings today
Rebecca

wow...I would love to do the girl's room like any of those! can't wait to see what you do...hope you are having a good day
ReplyDeletelol.... All your photos look like rooms for adults. I say, let her hang her posters on the wall!!! Did you get to be creative in your room growing up? I betcha you did... and thats why your so creative now! My mother didn't let me.... and look how I turned out lol Although--- I did ask and received permission to totally do whatever I wanted inside my closet. I painted and hung posters to my hearts content. So... maybe you could at least let her have the closet to do with whatever she wants to. lol Just a thought~
