If you didn't get the September makeover issue if Country Living (which is a good one I must say, but I am biased.), you can also view the pics they took of my kitchen on their web site.
I know a lot of you asked me why they didn't show more pictures, so
if you want to see the entire make over start to finish, including before with the dark cabinets and how we painted them, you can follow the journey we took from burst pipe, hair pulling and tears to pretty new kitchen here .

I just got my issue today! I can't wait to go through it, and now I have an even better reason to read it cover to cover. Congrats on the feature!
ReplyDeleteKitchen looks fab, and no, never get tired of Country Living! :D Too bad I cant get US issue here, just the UK one. Would love to see your makeover.
ReplyDeleteIt is something to be very proud of! Not tired here!
ReplyDeleteso funny, because I was sitting talking to my daughter while thumbing through my issue of CL and I stopped on your page, (not knowing at the time that you were featured in it) and said, "I know that kitchen"...then I read the article and filled my daughter in on how I follow your blog. It is soooo super exciting and a dream I hope will come true for me someday too....enjoy this fabulous accomplishment!!...it is truly wonderful....xo, Mariaelena

Jen, the photos of your kitchen were awesome! I had the issue with me while I was waiting in line at Kane last month. I get there 3 hours before the gates open, and I have to tell you...I usually sleep! But, I saw your kitchen on the pages and couldn't put it down. Well done, my friend. You should be so proud! ;o)

ReplyDeleteI love country living! I love that they showcase beautiful homes typically designed and decorated by the owners.
ReplyDeleteYour work is beautiful and inspirational! And you make the rest of us believe that we can achieve these looks too!
I must find a place to use some of your bird fabric!
Thank you for coming to Once Upon a Chocolate life...I love Kohler and I love Chicago.
I was on vacation, so was late reading my magazine, but let me tell you, I was so excited to see the feature on YOU! Congratulations! Everything looked beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.

My wonder is aside from only two pages with not many pics why did they make it seem more plain that your "kitchen makeover reveal" pics...why did they hide that beautiful white handpainted sign you had above the door?
ReplyDeleteI do love Country Living and should renew as it has been a year or so since I have received it. Love the blue ball jar to hold wooden spoons.
