I'd really love your opinion please.....
I spoke with a good friend today (who I find is very wise.), And told her my dilemma;
I am finding I am having a hard time narrowing down what I should be focusing on for my shop in fall. I am leaning towards mostly home decor, but have so many ideas and I feel of scattered about it... So I want to know... Are you pillowed out? What do you find you are willing to buy on-line for your home? What style do you like? What would you like to see in my shop? What would you like to see me make? Where do you think styles and trends are going. Be honest, there are no wrong answers, only appreciated ones.
After I asked her about it, she told me I should ask you. See how wise she is. So here we are.
What do you think?
Jen

Oh my goodness.... what a big question. I am not pillowed out... I love changing pillows and think it is one of the most affordable ways to make a room different! I LOVE your collages and your vintage housewares....
ReplyDeleteI hope that helps! Hugs to you.
I love the idea of home decor...you are so very good at those lampshades and pillows, but I'd like to see more table ware - runners, napkins...and simple curtains and such - pillow covers are so easy to change -
ReplyDeletemaybe we could swap draperies for cupcakes
lol
I agree with Anne Marie. Love the home decor stuff, and I bet you could come up with so many great ways to update the home.
ReplyDeletePillows are great, but you can only do so many.
I always love home decor. This time of year my focus is on holiday/seasonal items though. I only buy seasonal items through December (unless I find a really great deal on something). Then come January I'm ready to look for "every day" decor.
ReplyDeletethis is tough as i feel scattered about what i want to create sometimes too...too may ideas...too little time. what about some totes or purses/bags if you are pretty good at sewing? i think pillows are always good as well as table linens. anything you make will be gorgeous and be bound to sell!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving home decor too...I love everything you create, I feel like Im not much help but look so forward to seeing what you do and adding it to my house!

I love your repurposed clothes. I always start thinking clothes in the fall. Have you ever tried to meditate. It helps me find clarity. It takes abot 10-20 mins but I think it really helps. Here's what I do:
ReplyDelete1 set an intention
2 find a mantra, a word ,a prayer or scripture(this helps to clear the "stuff")
3 focus on the montra and see what comes up.
You are such a creative being I trust you'll find the answers.
