Holiday decor while the weather outside is….. 70?

It’s was a crazy 70 degrees here in Chicago this last weekend. On November 11th. Who would have thunk it? And of course, I am dreaming of Christmas decorating already. I hate to skip right over Thanksgiving, but it’s never been a huge holiday for us. We mostly just get together with the families, hang out and stuff our faces until we are sick, as I secretly pick the browned marshmallows off of the top of the sweet potatoes while no one is looking. Christmas  has so much meaning for me, that I get excited to jump right in right after Halloween!
I can only pray that it is this nice  for the 3 French hens Holiday Market this weekend. I would prefer not to freeze my patootie off.  I hope to see you there! I am bringing lots of handmade, some Holiday Santos Cage dolls and more!
Here are some images
that have been making me feel very merry……

Great pictures, Jen! I agree, it is so hard to not jump right into it especially after seeing all the great inspiration on Pinterest. I’ve been pinning away. Now I just have to make sure I go back to all those great ideas when I am actually decorating!

Did you get snow today? It snowed for a bit this morning in central Indiana but it is all gone now. :( Oh I know exactly what you mean about decorating for Christmas… I so want to start now but I have to wait until Thanksgiving… its one of those contractual negotiations. :)

I simply love the jute around the napkins! Did you see the 60% off coupon for Joann’s in this week’s flier? You know what I’m getting this week, don’t you!

Thank you so very much for all the inspiration!! And it is a sad, sad day for me today… I was planning on driving up for the show this weekend (it was going to be a girl’s day out) but had to cancel at the last minute because I just found out Chris will be out of town and I am needed to play chauffeur. sigh…

Have a wonderful week! Now I’m off to sneak a peak at some of the videos for CMH’s week 4 videos.

I am totally with you on getting into Christmas after Halloween. In fact, I have unapologetically put up all my xmas decor last week. I am in Canada, so thanksgiving has come and gone already. I’ve spent the past few days going through your wonderful holiday tour-can’t wait until this years tour!

We have had the door open for the last two days. I slept with it open last night. Today was chilly but not too bad (in Louisville).

I haven’t been in the mood to decorate for fall or Christmas. I usually love to decorate but this has been such a tough year I guess I have gotten myself into a bit of a funk.

Thank you for sharing the lovely pictures. I love your blog (and I follow you on Pinterest).

    Hi Jen,

I loved all the inspirational Christmas pics except for the ones with antlers! I cannot wait to see your home all decorate for the holidays. Take care sweetie!
